lyrics

Shut the door," she spoke and her words turned me to stone.
I met her in October 1935 and she was the mother of a good
friend of mine at the time.
Over the years it was never the same (between her and
myself) and I tried not to remember.
Soon enough everything in my life was like that (like her)
and I did what so many my age had done and fell headfirst
into a cause we didn't understand.
I felt sick.
" We're not the same thing," She smiled. I like her smile it
reminds me of porcelain, you know, all cracked up but still
pretty pure.
I start laughing, which gets her laughing and soon enough my
room is dark again and I'm alone.

it's not the same.
